Description.
This beach on the west
coast of Fuerteventura is one of the most
beautiful and wild. Its small size and some what
difficult to access, make it a beach is not very
popular (only for local people in summer).
It is located near the
town of Esmeralda and it is from this town from
where we take a dirt track that heads south from the
coast to access both the beach and the beach of
Jarugo. It is located about 6 kilometres from Tindaya (ask the
people how to reach this beach).
Like almost all
beaches on the west coast, there is a deep
ravine full of vegetation and some standing water.
Beware of currents.
My Opinion:
Semi wild beach without services, frequented by
residents of the island, mostly in
summer. No crowds but no services of any kind.
In the south there
are some very interesting cliffs and tiny coves with
small beaches.
